CHAO MAN CHUN
藝術家與「P.M.S.」、打開－當代藝術中心（OCAC）成員。在個人與集體實踐之間移動，她關注的是歷史進程中不斷演變的權力結構，藉由爬梳特定的時間片段，將焦點凝聚在大敘事洪流之中的私人經驗。時常以行為藝術為主軸，關乎勞動及性別，她以身體的行動介入日常生活的慣性；在她的作品中亦常見以 「食」 與 「物」作為線索，開展另類書寫的方式。透過反思那些不顯眼的、被掩蓋住的敘事，及其所揭露的個體與集體之間的關係－我們可以如何回應當下社會？
作品曾展演於《反覆演練Re-her-sal：觀眾入場》，軟輪畫廊，台北市（2025）、《反覆演練Re-her-sal：預演》，台北當代藝術館，台北市（2024）、 《緬甸街迴味季》，三季 sanji teahouse，新北市（2023）、《圖底圖：為建築與藝術的家園尋址》，he&she space，新北市（2023）、《跑攤藝術季》，1/2 Room，彰化市（2022）等。。並策劃紀錄片導演馬躍比吼於《生存/抵抗》，台南美術館 (2022)、《我們與未來的距離-原住民當代藝術展覽》，台灣原住民族文化園區 (2021) 展間。
CHAO Man Chun (manman) is an artist and a member of both “P.M.S.” and OCAC (Open Contemporary Art Center). Moving between individual and collective practices, her work engages with the evolving structures of power throughout historical processes. By revisiting specific temporal fragments, she centers private experience within the larger currents of grand narratives. Often working with performance as a primary mode—especially around themes of labor and gender—she uses bodily gestures to disrupt the inertia of everyday life. Her practice also frequently incorporates “food” and “objects” as entry points into alternative forms of writing. Through a reflection on the subtle and obscured narratives that are often overlooked, she explores the relational fabric between the individual and the collective: how might we respond to our current social condition?
Her works have been exhibited in a number of spaces, including Re-her-sal: Entering the Auditorium, 80A Gallery, Taipei (2025); Rehearsal for Re-her-sal: Preview, Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei (2024); Myanmar Street Festival, Sanji Teahouse, New Taipei City (2023); Figure Ground: the becoming-home of art and architecture, he&she space, New Taipei City (2023); and Tsáu Thuann Art Festival, 1/2 Room, Changhua (2022). In addition, she worked with the documentary director Mayaw Biho in creating his installations for “Persistence/Resistance”, Tainan Art Museum (2022), and “The Distance between Us and the Future – Taiwan Indigenous Contemporary Art”, Taiwan Indigenous People Culture Park exhibition room (2021) .
