Durian, guava, strawberry, peach, orange…
These nutrient-rich fruits have all, at some point, been used to label people of a certain generation.
I belong to the so-called “Strawberry Generation”—a term coined by the older generation to describe those who are outwardly polished, yet collapse at the slightest pressure.
Soft inside, pretty outside—a simplified metaphor for the fruit’s appearance and texture.
But what about its temperature, its scent, its sound, its transformations?
In this space where “value” is constantly being measured, I take the time to simmer a pot of strawberry jam.
Warm, sweet, and fragrant—within these invisible sensations,
what relation lies between the strawberry (generation) and a pile of (non-)recyclable waste?
Here, order permits only the combinations sparked by acts of creative arrangement.
